The Lucas Project Collaboration
At the heart of all that is We Are Brave Together, we are here for one another— strengthening, encouraging, inspiring, and validating all moms of children with disabilities through their unique and difficult caregiving journeys. With a similar approach of raising general awareness, while simultaneously providing tangible relief to caregivers, The Lucas Project, a not-for-profit organization in West Michigan, is also bridging this gap for families who need it most. From their production of the award-winning “Unseen” documentary project, to the “Coffee with Caregivers” podcast and more, they are an organization that is making a real difference.
As part of expanding our reach while also keeping to our core mission, WABT has become a supporting partner with the inspired, like-minded advocates of The Lucas Project. Our specific commitment is toward their in-home and ICU family care packages program. Sponsoring the sharing of these small tokens of spa items, gourmet coffees and teas, and simple gifts acknowledges the incredible work that occurs within caregiving homes, ICU hospital bedside and beyond. It is a gesture of encouragement and strength to face another day, reminding the recipients that someone cares and they are not alone.
If you would like to nominate* a caregiver in your life to receive either an at-home or hospital bedside care package, please follow this link:

*Please note there is a small fee associated with the nomination process. This fee helps to cover the costs involved with filling and sending these well-appreciated care packages.
