What is a "Medical Mom?"
When we say medical moms, we’re referring to mothers whose daily lives are deeply shaped by the medical world — those managing home medical equipment, multiple daily medications, and care that can require skilled nursing support.
Still, medical moms also encompass any mother who feels worn down, dismissed, or traumatized by the medical system. Whether she’s coordinating intensive care at home or simply struggling to be heard in a doctor’s office, life within the medical world can be exhausting and dehumanizing. In this way, medical moms captures a shared emotional landscape.
